Inverness Airport, gateway to the Highlands

Inverness Airport (INV) is the Highlands airport, and for many of our passengers it is the start of a holiday rather than a business trip. The first drive is usually into Inverness itself, where people pick up a hire car, check into a hotel or meet friends before heading further north and west.

Booking a car ahead means you are not relying on a taxi rank after a late flight, and the price is agreed before you set off.

Before you fly to Inverness

Give us your flight number and the full address of your first night's stay. Highland guest houses and lodges can be spread out, and the exact address means the fare is accurate and the driver knows where to go.

If your trip includes several distillery visits or a long day out, book it as one journey with stops rather than separate rides. Our day-tour option lets you keep the same driver and car for a set number of hours, which is often easier than booking each leg separately. You will see the price for every vehicle class before paying, and you can add child seats or extra luggage space as you go.

Returning flights can be booked at the same time, so the car is waiting when you check out.

Distilleries north of the airport

Two distilleries linked to this page are Glenmorangie and Dalmore, both popular with visitors who want to see whisky made in the Highlands. A private driver means everyone in the group can enjoy the tasting. Ask us for a fixed quote with both stops on the same day.

Highland roads can be slow, so plan visits with plenty of time between them.

Travelling with outdoor kit

Walkers, cyclists and anglers often arrive here with bulky bags. The Standard MPV carries four passengers with four large cases, the Premium MPV seven passengers with seven cases, and the Eight-Seater Van eight passengers with eight cases — useful when a group shares one car.

Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board, and we follow your flight in case it is early or late.
